I attempted this much larger format at painting a scene in my ongoing obsession with Turner's sense of grand scale and subtle nuances of colour. The results are mixed for me and despite my attempts at taking better pictures of my larger works, there is very much lost in the photo.

Nice work! I can see that the light is uneven in the photo, so the yellow is probably brighter on the left and the colors not as washed out on the right. What makes this painting work is the transition from warm down to cool colors and that neutral zone in between. The impasto textures are great, too. Really pops with movement and light.
